One Word One Technique

Hi everyone it`s week 5 of One Word One Technique over at Truly Madly Crafty Blog And it is my turn to create the example this week.

Every month there will be a different technique and each week a different word prompt to hopefully inspire you.

You can make either a one off project or like me make a journal .

My first ever technique journal,nothing like diving right in there,lol!!

January technique is Painting
This weeks word prompt is Wish

Here is my first ever journal pages so please be kind,lol.

I am going to confess that i found it scary as i always work with patterned paper.

My background was so easy to create!

I started with a layer of gesso to give my pages a base, then i splodged [love that word,lol] some gold pearlescent straight onto the pages

brushed it in till i was happy ,dry brushed more gesso over then worked in with a sponge.

To add the splotches i used distress ink and with a fine brush flicked it over the page,i did find that it didn`t absorb into the page so with some kitchen towel i lightly dabbed over the top.
I still wanted a more aged look so took some distress ink pads and with the blending tool worked it in around the edges of the pages.
For the heart i took some cardboard and took the backing of to reveal the corrugated board,then dry brushed with some gesso and the gold paint and finished with stamping the Wish sentiment.

Sprinkled some seed beads over the page and fixed in place, had fun stamping and adding embellishments and journalling.

The wheels for me represent our life spinning faster and the car because we are all on a journey.
Wishes for me are getting simpler and more meaningful the older i get and all i want is to see my boys grow and live a happy and full life and to be a part of it.

I have been married for 23yrs to Alex and hope to spend many many more years with him.

My Thoughts Exactly DT Thursday . . .

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday to you all , i hope you are all having a good week and finding some time

to get crafty!

Today is my first DT Thursday post for My Thoughts Exactly and i am so happy to be playing alongside DT members Bee and Belinda , please pop by there blogs to see what they have created , you won`t be disappointed!
For my project i have used a key holder box and here is the inside full of "Wishes" for the Birthday girl . . .along with a pretty tag that i utee`d . . .

Oooohhh and i almost forgot that the roof lifts up and inside you have Birthday scrolls with birthday messages and even more "Wishes" in bottles for that special someone on there special day.

I have used the "Sweet Thoughts" Stamp set for all the little tags on the bottles,hearts and all the sentiments on the scrolls and Tags.

Other Materials -

The Fairy stamp is by Debbie Moore and from the Kerry Jo set 1. Scrap paper-various manufacturers.

Tim Holtz Idea-ology corked glass vials,distressed ink pad.Wooden Hearts,wire. Flowers - local haberdashery.Jenni Bowlin brads and Ultra Thick embossing powder.

My Thoughts Exactly Intro and a giveaway . . .

Hi everyone hope you all had a great weekend

So excited today as i am being introduced to the DTeam over at My Thoughts Exactly Blog ,woohooo i am so lucky . . . Not only do i get to work with a lovely bunch of ladies BUT i also get to create with Alyssa`s fab Sentiment Stamps and they are a dream to work with and the possibilities are endless,you will adore them!
The DTeam have been getting introduced a day at a time since last Monday with a giveaway every day so be sure to check out the MTEBlog and visit everyone for a chance to win and be inspired!
We were to create any project we liked with our favourite stamp set.
I couldn`t stick with one though . . . imagine . . .i picked Many Thanks and Sweet Thoughts for a closer look at the stamp sets just click on the names.

My mind was racing with a Zillion ideas . . card,layout,mini books . . . . in the end i settled on making some pegs into magnets to attach all those little scraps of paper and pictures to the fridge or magnetic board.I even went as far as to make pretty packaging to pop the little pegs onto for a gift using the stamps for the background and title . . . . ooooh i could rave about the endless joy i am having with them, but i guess you get that idea,lol!

Whoop whoop i am sooo excited to be included on two design teams this year and going to be creating alongside some awesome ladies . . .GULP, I sooooo hope i can do them justice. . . . the work that they do is AMAZING!!!

Happy New Year . . . . .

Happy New Year to you all and thank you for all your lovely comments and support you have given me over the last year!

A fresh new start and a whole year to fill with memories and crafting . . .

I have some exciting news to share with you all over the next week and also pictures of my FAT December Daily Journal . . . wow i can not believe how FAT it has got with memories,looking forward to seeing everyone elses finished journals and oohing and ahhing over them all!!!

Also i have picked one little word for this year to inspire me

" BELIEVE"

I am forever doubting myself and soooo i am going to learn to believe and trust in myself over the coming year . . . Let the journey begin !

December Daily Day 5 . . .

Hope everyone is having a great day today whatever you are all up to!!
Before i pop up my pages i want to let Trisha know that she has won some stash from me for taking part in Hoping through the holidays.
Thank you again for letting me be a part of the Hop Belinda!
Anyhoooo here are my pages for yesterday . . .

I wanted to document a little project i have been working on using florist foam-cone shaped,yarn,hatpins and german glitter glass to make a little xmas tree . . .

Still to print pics off and add to the page.

I wanted to remember all the different elements that i used,so i bottled up a little glitter glass,stuck a few hatpins in . . . the pearl ones are the ones i altered with the glitter,yarn used is inside the envelope and seeing as it snowed today the little cosmo cricket chipboard accent was added.

A journalling tag with a few of my favourite things at Christmas . . .
It reads

1.Everything about Christmas,the house all warm and cosy and family.

2. making Christmas gifts for those who matter,even if only a card.

3.Still the boys put out a plate for Santa and the reindeers . . . special seeing as they are 21y and 18y!

4.Alex getting more excited at Xmas as he gets older,lol!He will be 45y next year

{Every Christmas Eve i have to listen to Alex going . . . Is it time to get up yet and he gets louder and louder until the boys wake and we all troop downstairs to see if Santa has been!!}

5.Just spending time with all the family on Christmas day!

December Daily...Day 2,3,4...

Wow where did the weekend go . . . did i blink and miss it?

Nooooo i was facing the hoards of Christmas shoppers on Saturday and Sunday . . . i deserve a medal,lol!!

But in all the madness and mayhem i still managed to do my journal woohoo and loving it.

Before i pop the pictures on i want you all to know i have loooved reading all your comments . . .thank you all so much and a warm welcome to my new friends,thank you for following!
I will be announcing the winner of my blog candy tomorrow.

I have been having problems with blogger when it comes to uploading pictures sooo fingers crossed this works.

First pic is day 2 in my journal

An idea roughly for my Xmas cards this year . . . keeping it simple for a change with some added Lace trim,Stickles and a little wooden heart.

The envelope is for Alex and our two boys and on the back of the little tag it reads Angel wishes for Alex,Rory and Kane what i wish for you is

" Live well,Laugh often,Love much "
Inside the envelope is an . . . . . Angel . . . . of course!

I used my vagabond {at last Alex says!} to cut out the Angel die and added German glitter glass..all twinkly and sparkly!
Day 3

Documents another day shopping in lovely St.Andrews,each tag lits open like a book and holds journalling.
The first pic is my Favourite shop in St.Andrews . . . "Bonkers" . . . i adore the name and everything that it holds inside!!
There is another picture that shows the streets with trees and twinkly lights just behind this one...sorry i forgot to take a pic to pop on here.

and more journalling . . . oooh and that is the back of the pic that i didn`t take for on here. . hanging head in shame!!!
Day 4

Arghhhh i forgot to take my camera . . . of all days . . . yesterday was such a beautiful day and on our way to a xmas farm shop a flock of birds took flight,.it was a delight to see and one i will not forget . . . so seeing as no pictures . . DUH . . . i hunted out this beautiful little tag and paper with a bird to mark that day.

I am loving how it is getting even fatter with memories.
We had a lovely weekend and even managed to "almost" finish our Christmas shopping for family and friends.
I am so tired that i can feel how screwed up my eyes are,lol,that iss what getting up at 4.15am does for you!!

I am away to bed but i will be over to visit you all after work tomorrow.

Guest Designer at ATDML...

I am honoured to be a guest designer at my favourite shop

"A Trip Down Memory lane" this month featuring 7Gypsies Products.

Out to my shed i went in a hurry and popped together 2 layouts and a photocube....

For my first layout called "Out of Africa" i used pics from my Auntie Christines time on safari in Africa ....

My second layout "Footloose" came together with the pictures of my Dad in his winkle picker days,lol!!

Lastly i wanted to give my Auntie Christine a keepsake to remember her holiday in Africa and made this photocube from chipboard along with the beautiful ribbon that Mel and Jill pop in with my orders ....

It`s been a while!!!!

"A "Thirsty Thursday at ATDML.....

Over at A trip Down Memory Lane we are learning our ABC with a crafty twist on "Thirsty Thursdays".

On Thursday the letter A is our inspiration along with a few prompts to pick from,i went with......

A is for A Trip Down Memory Lane - you can take your "A" inspiration from this if you like. Maybe choose an older photo, recall when it was taken and what memories it brings to mind and create a page based on this.

This layout is in memory of my beautiful Gran who i still miss but have the most wonderful of memories....trips to the Glen with my Mum,Gran and big sis Karen...she is the one on the right of Gran and yep i am the chubby one on the left,lol!!
This picture was taken by Mum outside the Glen museum and i can still picture Grans Dress it had big black polka dots,ice cream cones,on the train,padling in the pool..Karen remember you going in in your knickers,lol!!

What i know about me....

Hope you have all had a good weekend whatever you where up to.
Thought i would share a layout with you that i put together for a challenge over on club ck....just joined a few days ago hoping to get back into doing more layouts and everyone has been so friendly and welcoming...the challenge was to do a layout about what i know about me.
The printer is playing up at the moment so i used the little chipboard girl to represent me..think shes kinda cute,lol!!!!
This layout was totally out my comfort zone and in a different style from my usual although i have included my hearts and love of wonky tonky stitching.....

Was over the moon to hear that my name was picked as the winner by Hopes hubby...wooohooo...was doing summersaults in my head,lol!!!
Wait for it i also have another few cards to share as well.....LOL....i know i even shock myself at times!!!
Will post them tomorrow as my bed is calling....work tomorrow...ahhh well i have had a really good weekend so can`t complain.

On holiday just now and having a grand time sleeping in till 6am,lol,which is great as i usually get up at 4.3o am for work,tootling around the house and garden and oooohhh i made two cards.....eeeek are you okay i know it is a bit of a shock me making two cards,lol..anyhoo here they are...

and this one,two real quickies..

The weather last week was good and sunny..at last....so we spent time tending our veg at the allotment and had a little visitor to help us out....Niamh

Atdml Cybercrop , Class 1

At last i can take my pictures of my layout for Class 1 for the cybercrop over at ATDML this morning and it isn`t raining...yet!!!

I used my girls paperie papers,flowers,wooden hearts,string because i didn`t have magnetic closures so hope that was okay and the little words from the front of MME paper collection,you know the one that shows you little snippets of what the collection includes...oh almost forgot Tim Holtz distress inkpads...how could i forget the man!!!

Over at A Trip Down Memory lane the cybercrop is in full swing...

lol here because i was joining in last night and eeeek the camera died on me and had a hectic day and..forgot to charge it..blonde moment me thinks!!!

So until i have it charged... here i am and on the pc today and woohoo my followers are showing up but not on the lap top yet.

I was running a circle journal group and bought the beautiful Pink paislee Queen Bee papers,flip note tags,diecuts,Prima tea roses,lace and crystal book knob and here is what i came up with....

I have used the Pink Paislee papers "Queen Bee" and a glass handle for the front.

I love my lace trimmimgs combined with a unity stamp for the sentiment,hatpin,prima flower and not forgetting distress ink to shabby it all up.

I had this post already and set to go on the tenth but i am having problems with blogger....HELP......i try and leave comments at friends and sometimes it will let me other times i come up as annonymous and other times it just plain ignores me....what is going on????

How time flies when all i do is WEED!!!!

Oh wow how the time has flown when all i have had time to do is WEED...WEED..WEED..LOL here!!!
Me and Alex have been spending every spare minute outside work up at the allotment in Scotlandwell where i can report that the weeds are thriving..eeeeeeeeeek..i am sooooo soooo tired of them!!!
But on a brighter note the carrot seeds are sprouting as are peas,Kale,tatties{lots of them},leeks,onions..the list goes on but i don`t want to bore you,lol....
Am i showing my age when i confess to buying gardening magazines and watching Gardeners world and my idea of a great dayout is a trip around garden centres?????
What has happened to me???
Have i caught a virus???

Symptoms...

Daydreaming about seeds
Having nightmares about..shiver....WEEDS....
Drooling over veg brochures
In love with Dahlias...i looove them
Grubby hands most of the time
Loving the look of a newly dug bed.....

What can i say except.................

If this is an illness then it ain`t half bad as seeing after a wee while we will get to eat all that goodness that we have grown woooohoooohooo..if only the weeds would give up!!!!

Back up again tomorrow and will try and take the camera so you can all see the dreaded weeds,lol!!!!

But in the meantime this was a quick card i made back in March....

along with a multi layered wooden heart hanging for my Mum and Dad....

i know yet again another card using my fav image of the moment.....

90%real crafters make real messes....

Over on the lovely Annmaree`s blog today she has a post on mess in your craft space....loved her post and piccys....way to go Annmaree,lol...which then led me to...

Kristina Werners blog who is asking messy crafters to unite!

So without further ado.......

I am confessing to being a messy messy crafter..
If you are easily offended then close your eyes now because what you are about to see is real and has not been touched up in anyway..this was how i left it the other day i kid you not!!!!

.....Oh my giddy aunt am i actually revealing my messy side.......run for the hills,lol!!!
I did use the glue stick only eek i didn`t pop the lid back on
I did use the crackle paint and phew the lid is on,lol...
I did use the stamps only never popped them away ,can you see it.. and no i don`t often clean them..if it is good enough for Tim then it is good enough for me!!

Oooooooh look i did however throw material over the sewing machine that i did use to stop it getting dusty,lol!!
The threads are all out because i was totally impatient and remember tipping the contents out to get the one i wanted....well it worked for me.
The black boxes actually live on a shelf above the windows but when i craft i need them where i can see in them..thats my excuse and i am sticking to it!!
Anyhoo i ran outside in the piddling rain to take these pics and.........guess what????
I took the pics then bolted back out the door,lol,i will be making another card later today sooooo no point in tidying it really..am i right!!!!!
Looking at this you would never know i am a cleaner hehehehehehehehe this is the place where i let myself go wild then shut the shed door behind me..no one any wiser..until now!!!!

Ooooh i finally managed to have a little crafting time woohooo!!!
Imagine me doing cartwheels,lol,soooo happy......
I cracked open my new MME Papers from the Stella and Rose Hattie line..they are gorgeous and my unity stamps.
What did i make?
A little card for my mum titled...."Life is sweeter"...why i hear you ask??
Because my mum is in it!!!
She is the best of the best always there for me even on the most darkest of days...i love my mum sooo much and Thankful to have her in my life!!!

Over the next few days i hope to have a few more projects to share with you.

Weeeeell, i finally dragged myself out to my poor sad and neglected shed the other week to craft...hooray....and had a little fun time making this ATC for a swap over on Scrappers Delight.
I hauled(okay i meant lovingly picked..) out a sheet of Kaiser Kraft paper from Up Up and Away selected my much loved vintage stamp,Tim Holtz findings,distress ink,mica powder and my much loooved UTEE and voila finished!
Seeing as it has been a while i thought i would check out a few challenges and join in the fun ...

Matchbox swap....

Hi everyone and thank you all for the lovely comments you left much appreciated!Over on Scrappers Delight Rebecca organised an altered matchbox swap and as you can tell i haven`t had a lotta crafting time for a while....gasp,shock, horror...life has been hectic and no signs of letting up for a while and i sooooo needed to make something alas... my little altered matchbox........

no frills just some lovely vintage Kaiser Kraft papers and rub-ons and wolllllllaaa deed done and my swap buddy received it in the post the other week and if you know me you know how much i heart my hearts..... ...sooooo it would not be complete without some wooden hearts inside,sorry no pics of the hearts inside.
I am stalking my lovely postie for mine hopefully anyday now wooohooo!!!

Some of my lovely follower friends may remember way way back in April 2009...i know a while ago right,lol..
that i entered a competition for Scrapbook magazine called Art from the heart and it was sponsored by the lovely Art from the heart shop...and i won and got an amazing prize of gorgeous stash.
You had to make an "altered piece of art" and it had to come from the" heart" and i made a little chest of drawers from large matchboxes and inside each drawer-a little book told a story...well i never did get round to posting the pictures on here and seeing as it is too dark to take pics of Bob the pumpkin outside....he is waiting his fate out in the wee greenhouse at the backdoor i thought i would pop them on here but be warned it is kinda picture heavy.

This is what started the journey for me......on the handle is a word strip from cosmo cricket paper and it reads

"As soon as i saw you i knew an adventure was going to happen."
From this came the idea to use the boxes to mark important stages in my life from the very first time i saw Alex to where we are today after 24 years together.

This picture is a side view of the drawers when opened..each one a special time in my life......

This first drawer holds a little laminated tag book with pictures along with a little scroll that tells the story when we met for the very first time.

Pictures and journalling inside........Oh we where sooo young,lol.

This is the inside of the drawer...what you see once the tag book is out.

This little drawer tells the story of our marriage and honeymoon.

This little tag book holds pictures of our wedding day and honeymoon and also the lucky penny that my Auntie Jessie gave me to pop in my shoe.

It`s been soooo long!!!

It has been soooooo loooong since i sat up here on the computer and checked out me sad and very neglected blog...blowing away the cobwebs "whoooooooooo"...cough,splutter sheesh there where a lota lota cobwebs,lol! Or should that be cackle,cough,splutter due to the fact that i am totally chocked with the dreaded cold and the most tiresome cough for going on 4 weeks now!!!
As if i haven`t been feeling miserable enough would you credit it that i am also on holiday...holiday and not been well....humph life sometimes throws you a loop de loop i guess....we had all these plans on what we would be getting up to and needless to say not one not two not three things or more did we do..ahhhh well i still have one week to go and hopefully in that time i will be feeling more human and ready to face the world again.....oh and of course back to work.....the joys i have to look forward to,lol.
I am in the middle of going through a dose of the "uglies" yep you read that right..have you ever suffered a dose of the "uglies".....if you have you know exactly how i am feeling......
"The Cure"
Hide from the world under a huge fluffy duvet,hankies,a book or two and my electric blanket at the ready...just incase you where worrying i wasn`t going to try and give myself an electric shock with the electric blanket only use it as a means to keep warm..promise!
Sooooo when i was tootling around on here tonight i have popped on over to the lovely shabbyblogs site and gave my blog a wee well deserved makeover already for a fresh new start and over the next few days will pop on some pics of ....

Hmmm either way i guess i am glad i am not a pumpkin right now but i can tell you he has had a great life...
well watered,fed and a bed of straw with blocks of wood that kept him of the ground.
Whatever we decide i promise that Bob will not suffer!!!
Truly have loved spending time with Alex up there weeding,planting,picking and eating the goodies that we have grown this year.
Sooo crafting has taken a back seat so far this year but now the dark nights are here and the crafty virus is a calling and i feel the need to go out to my shed and get some much needed craft therapy!
Maybe i will have to give it a quick blitz first..it has been a while.
I also need to take some time and catch up with you all in blogland and give friends a ring and let them know i am still in the land of the living.....or at least living in my mad world!

Hellooooooo.....

Oh my giddy aunt...i am hanging my head in shame for having neglected my blog for....YIKES...months and "NOT" getting around to visit you all and seeing all your gorgeous creative makes and what you have all been up to.....Life just took over and left little time for blogging and crafting.
Also thank you all for your lovely comments on my journal and hello to some new followers...thank you!!!

With the start of a new month what better way to get me started but to give my poor,sad and neglected blog a makeover with the help of April from April Showers Design thank you April!

I have so missed crafting and the only time i have had to create has been when the cj`s have arrived in the post which thankfully has kept me going!!
Woohoo only August to go,then September we all get our journals back!

Other than the cj`s no other crafting until last Sunday...My Mums birthday was on the 29th July so "wahhhh" panic kinda set in seeing as it has been ages since i made a card ...i was pulling my hair i can tell you!!!
Anyhooo the picture above is what i came up with....

...and seeing as we where giving Mum Money i wanted to make a little something special just for her to open and i attempted an apron for her to use when she is crafting.....now if you know me you will know my stitching isn`t all that great in fact when i stitch on a card i call it shabby cause the stitching is usually all wonky tonky,lol,so "phew "doing straight lines was a toughie but i got there in the end after sticking pins in my fingers..ouch.. and almost getting burns ironing the hems before sewing,lol!
Sorry about the piccy but hope you get an idea of what it looks like...I did manage to get Rory and Kane to pop it on at times so i could check the length but "NO" way was i being allowed to take pics of them..humph
i guess they had a point though,lol!
I adore lace trimmings and have used them on the hem,top and waistband ..oh... and not forgetting the heart in the middle..Alex said i had to pop a heart on somewhere as it is kind of my trademark..and three little crochet flowers to finish.
Happy to report that Mum was over the moon and it was worth every minute spent on it to see the joy on mums face when she opened it.

Creative Inspirations Challenge 32...

Hello everyone,
Another Sunday and time for another challenge over at Creative Inspirations can you believe that it has been two weeks already..the time is sure flying by..or maybe it is just my age,lol!!!
Well this week the challenge has been set by the lovely Maxine and the theme is-
     3 Flowers
     2 Papers
     1 Ribbon..welcome back Maxine!
Can be a card,ATC,layout ...the list is endless, it is totally up to you all we ask is that you have fun creating!
So here is my DT project this week....

To be honest when i popped to the shed to get cracking on this i had noooo idea what i was going to make!
I just started hauling things out and having a little play..
The little carry tote has been altered with the two papers..one inside and one outside.
I loove hatpins and i needed something that the flowers wouldn`t slip down and these little pretty pins have three baubles on the end so all i had to do was push them through 2 and bobs your uncle no slipping.
Glued a little florist foam inside and popped the hatpins and flowers in.
Folded some pretty ribbon into a bunch and threaded a pin through to hold it all in place.
The little sign...i used a little bit paper that i used inside the tote,stamped the quote and glued onto a skewer stick to finish.

Here is my DT project...A little picture matchbook just waiting to be filled with happy memories.

Now i published this post earlier but was getting annoyed..annoyed..who me,lol..because i took the piccys yesterday when it was raining but when i loaded them it kept coming up with June of 2008 date on it...arghhh...I promise that this was made yesterday and i have the mess in the shed to prove it,lol...but my lovely hubby Alex who was wondering why i was grumping up here..again who me...yep grumping and came and helped me out..yeah he took the offending camera away did something with it and voila woohoo it is sorted..bless him..now i need to get him to show me cause this has been happening a lot lately..guess i must be pressing something i shouldn`t..duh!!!
Maybe i should have got piccys of me grumbling then popped them in the matchbook,lol!!!
This little matchbook took no time at all to make really,all you need is..
2x 12x12 sheets of Bazzil cardstock
Ribbon for the binding and to use as a closure
I used a Unity Stamp for the front,,love this company!
No project would be complete without me using my trusty sewing machine
TimHoltz black soot distress ink pad
Little flower heads to finish.Really enjoyed putting this together and might make a few more for little gifts.
Well got to run or dodder,lol Alex is off and the sun is shining so we are away out for the day.

Happy News...

Hello everyone,
i am sitting here out in my wee craft shed in the garden and the rain is pouring down but glad to say i am as snug as a bug here with my little heater blowing away!
Why am i out here?
Well that would be because my two teenagers are in the house and when they are around i never get on the internet..so i snuck out here with the laptop although give it 5mins and they will be hollering,lol!!
Anyhooo my good news well I have been so lucky to be asked to be on the DT over at Scrappy Accents woohoo and jumped at the chance, they do amazing work and hope i can live up to them all.

This is my Beautiful Niece Niamh who i adore and was taken last year...she is cute as a button and i love her zillions!!!

Here is my project to hopefully give you some inspiration along the way thank you to Stephanie for the great tutorial she is totally inspirational....

I am calling it "Spring in a teacup" and i have used my much loved hatpins and Cosmo Cricket pretty papers.
Making the paper Roses brought back so many happy memories of my much loved Gran and Di who when we where little would get us to stand up and sing the song "Paper Roses" by the door and then would throw bright shiny copper pennies when we had finished..sadly they passed away when i was very young but there love lives on snug in my heart and memories and looking at this little teacup reminds me of the happy times we had!!

Abseiling..who me?

You might remember a while ago i posted up a lot of firsts and one was when i abseiled down The House of Frasers in Edinburgh...well here is a layout i have been working on with me doing the abseil.

The picture of the piccy below shows a photo that has been hidden behind the main one and as usual chortling away but this time totally hysterical.....my big cousin Craig was organising the abseil and was on the phone,i told him i was getting terrified the closer it came to doing it and he said he would get me to do something that would help!!!!
Help.......NOT......he told me to lie on the floor flat on my back and place my feet against a door and then to reassure me ...well.....he told me how i was lying is how i would be when i go over the top...how may i ask was that going to calm my erratic beating heart i tell you!!!!!!
Hence that manic giggling piccy of me on the floor.
But you know what it is the best thing i have ever done for myself..exhilirating and terrifying all at the same time and looking at these pictures brings it all back as if it where only yesterday.

Well i need to go and get some sleep back to work tomorrow arghhhhhhh!!!!
Why are weekends so short and the week soooooooo long????

Creative Inspirations challenge 30....

Hi everyone hope you are all having a good weekend whatever the weather.
A big warm welcome to my new followers great to see you here.
The sun has actually been shining here in Scotland and it sure has made me feel a lot better although i can see all the stuff in the house now that needs a good spring clean including the windows,lol!!!
Well it is that time again over at the Creative Inspirations Challenge blog and this week it was my turn to choose the theme sooo.....

This is my take on this weeks theme....

..a little chipboard Maya Road town house altered with some of my favourite pretty papers by Daisy D`s,pretty trimmings,buttonsjewelled brad for the door handle,Ranger ink,crackled paint,rock candy distress stickles and 7Gypsies ribbon.
When i started this i wasn`t sure where it was going and now that i have done it i want more of them so i can have them sitting on a shelf in my shed making me smile.
Just looking at it makes me think Hansel and Gretel,Little Red Riding hood all those much loved fairy tales from when i was a child.

Inside the little house is a home for some tags with little quotes all grunged up with ink and little scraps of pretty papers ohhh and of course no project would be complete without a heart or two!!!

I always have a struggle with male cards and ususally end up doing an accordion card with chipboard letters spelling out there name soooo i deceided for my Dt project to make a keepsake gift for a little boy for his Mummy to pop treasured memories and pictures into.
The front of the accordion has..and i luv it..lol...a light up moon that when pressed sparkles all over..i just can`t stop pressing it!!!!
Guess i am still a big kid at heart...

Loved using K&Co papers,stickers and light ideas and doing this has brought back lots of memories of my boys telling nursery rhymes and giggling..ahhhh happy days...now they are grown and teenagers and now all you hear from there room is noise,lol!!!!!

February`s calendar layout...

This year i came across a blog called The Kathryn Wheel and Kate is running a 2010-365day calendar challenge!!

What i saw was inspiring and even though it was Feb i took up the challenge although mine will be running through to 2011.

For me trying to craft every day doesn`t always work so once i planned my page with the journalling squares, each day i popped on a little something about that day then later went back and used another journalling tag to either write,embellish or doodle on, then using utee i glazed the whole square and popped it on top of the original...why i hear you ask?....well this month my fav things are-

Unity stamp for the month of Feb image..Just found Unity and luv the stamps

and in a homeage to The Man himself "Tim Holtz" i used recycled coke bottle tops to mark his appearance on QVC,ordering the TSV and the parcel arriving on the Saturday..still whooping here,lol!!

The last day of the month i spent drooling over his new book so watch out for my March layout could be filled with Tim Holtz techniques..well maybe a few,lol!!!

With all my favs maybe i should have made my layout kinda "BIGGER"!
Still can hardly believe that i have actually managed to do something just for me for a change!!!!
Wonder what this month will bring???????

My first day at primary school -i must have made my Mum and Dad ill because i screamed and the teacher had to take me away,her name if i remember was Mrs.Moonie,lol,i cried for 6 weeks Mum says!!!
My first Holy Communion..exciting,butterflies in tummy and breakfast in the "Nunnery" a treat indeed!
My first date with Alex at the grand age of just turned 17y,lol,a walk around the avenue and our
First kiss in the playpark under an umbrella in the park..bliss!!!
Our first holiday together to Turkey.
My first time on an aeroplane..butterflies,handtwisting...soaring!
My very first time abseiling down the House of Frasers in Edinburgh-oh my giddy aunt it was for charity and i felt terrified,free,excited and exhilirated i will never ever forget that feeling hanging in mid air.
Will pop a piccy up tomorrow of me dangling,lol!
The very first time i entered any competition and came runner up in scrapbook magazine..

My first win in a competition for altered art from the heart have the pictures on here but eek don`t laugh i have found them but not in pictures and not sure how to get to them will try again tomorrow,computers,humph!!Lol

Valentine card and altered wooden heart.....

Hello blog friends,
sorry not been around i am of work just now due to having the flu and a bad sinus infection so not really feeling up to crafting or coming on the pc as every time i move my head it feels like it is going to explode plus not an attractive sight with tissues and inhaler stuck up my nostrils,lol....i kid you not!!!!
Thought i would pop on with a picture of one of the 5 valentine cards i made a wee while back for a swap group i am part of using pretty BO BUNNY papers and a wooden heart.

Also an alternative to a card..altered wooden heart using leftover scraps of paper.
I am away to get the menthol chrystals out and get the hot water going its steam time..ahhh the joys look forward to visiting you all soon and happy crafting everyone!!!

First i would like to say a very warm welcome to my new followers,thank you so much for joining me here and look forward to stopping by your blog for a visit.

Bit late in posting but here are pictures of the ATC cards i posted about in an earlier post.

I luv Daisy D`s papers have had them in a drawer for about a year....

..."a year i hear you shout"...

but they where in the drawer with all my fav papers that i just enjoy taking out and looking at until something inside my head just" CLICKS" no not the bolts coming loose,lol..it may have taken a year but once i had that "CLICK" i knew exactly what i was going to with it and a plus this time because i am going to keep this as i love that saying .

so instead of being hidden away in a drawer the pretty papers will be on show.

Over at The Corrosive challenge blog the theme is Distressing.

"On the night before Christmas...."

"On the night before christmas when all through the house

not a creature was stirring not even a mouse..........................."

Not in our house, lol,when i got in from work at the back of 7pm i was rushing out through the snow to my wee shed to make some name cards for the table for the next day.
Rooting around manically for inspiration and thinking about all we had to do before bed...
arghhhhhhhh imagine papers flying everywhere.....
in the end i discarded the idea of making paper name tags..
all that cutting and glueing and so little time...
My trusty hearts yelled "what about us "
already spray painted using Alexs paint shhhhhh,
and with the help of cosmo cricket alpha stickers, cute little tags,buttons and ribbon i was all set although...
in my usual rush i forgot to take pictures of the other 9 which everyone loved and took home to hang on there trees,all the hearts had names or initials and a little tag with a diferent saying.
I also made these two white hearts for my boys instead of a card...

which means they can be popped on the tree year after year.

Ahh well housework is calling me so

My DT project for this is a salt dough...Angel.....
At one time i would make smaller versions of this Angel and sell them at craft fairs,sadly never seem to have the time and yet i always find peace when playing with the dough and when the boys where younger, making decorations to string on wee trees for gifts ahhhhh where has all that time gone.
This Angel is going to be adopted by my Mum who is a living breathing Angel i kid you not.

Creative Inspirations Challenge 22 and DT call......

So here is my take on the sketch using my fav papers...Cosmo Cricket.... in fact everything used was by Cosmo Cricket except the UTEE i used on the image to give it a cracked glass effect and string.
I have never used UTEE before but watched a tutorial over at Crafty Creations Challenge blog and had a go and like the effect,sadly the piccy doesn't do it justice.
I was running in and out the craft shed and the house like a mad loon to pop the images in the freezer...and ohhhhh the best part was cracking them when they came back out the freezer!!!!

Here is another card using the same sketch again using Cosmo Cricket goodies.

Here is my project a little wall hanging for my shed....i bought the papers,ribbons,buttons,alpha stickers and template for the house in a kit ages ago
{the kit was to make a scrappy house album,needless to say havent made it yet!!!}
from Bellaboo and the wooden heart and tin heart on the chimney are from my own stash.
Eeeek i used my glue gun and kept burning the tips of my fingers,lol when i was making the smoke for the chimney out of buttons.
As you can see i made the door my pocket to house the family tag....who lives in my house, i ran out of room but we also have Fish...do not want to hurt there feelings by not mentioning them.

Crafting for Jude.....

Recently i have been trying to put together a few handmade crafty bits and bobs for Jude for her Alzheimer's Bazaar anh went back to my love of prim and country...had a play with my background too.
I had forgotten how much i love prim and country crafts..gingham,homespun fabrics,cinnamon,pointy prim hearts..when i started out crafting this was the kinda stuff i enjoyed doing including salt dough Angels.
Anyhoo this is what i came up with and hopefully they will be of some use....
This is a picture of my little wooden prim hearts all snuggled up ready to go to a hopefully new home and the picture below is how they look with there little prim cards handwritten and little shabby centres...
and this is how a few look on my twisty tree out back along with cinnamon sticks,homespun fabric oh and of course more prim hearts.
Also a picture of a few prim notebooks..i machine stitched round all the fabric...
and a few gift tags...Picture of one of the cards i made...and lastly a pretty prim homespun tin to house them all...

So this is how theses little houses look when i have been a doodling ...the kind of house i would love to live in,a wee tad rickety i know but woodburning stoves,wooden floors with lots of nooks and crannies...you know i can almost smell the wood smoke,lol!!!!

This is the"after" once i have used chalks to colour and glossy accents to give a bit of gloss.
I did exactly the same for the boot..doodle then colour.Hope you like and look forward to popping by and seeing all your crafty makes.

Creative Inspirations challenge 19....

Here is my DT project.... A keepsake 1st birthday card for my beautiful niece "Niamh."
I altered a K&CO alphabet box using various papers i had had in my stash for a while,flower punches,stickers and gems.I cut the bunting ,cake and number 1 candle out by freehand and with the use of some trusty silicone managed to give the cake some oooomph.

Niamh was the grand old age of one yesterday,woohooo she is totally gorgeous and oh so cute and already walking,she makes us giggle and drives her mum and dad up the wall because her fav word at the moment is" HIYA" and she says it about every second,lol.Thought i would share this picture of her with Rosie the pup at our house and.....
with one of Rosie and Storms toys,honest the sausage toy was brand spanking new and Niamh took a shine to it as you can see!!!!!

Crafting at last woohoo......

Hellooooo i can hardly believe it has been 2weeks since i was on my blog....if it wasn`t for all you lovely followers and friends my little slice of blogland would be turning into a dusty little place where people fear to tread and new posts a thing from bygone days....thank you each and everyone of you from the heart{i know i know me and my hearts,what can i say but i love them}and a big Helloooooo for my new followers,thank you so much for joining my mad goings on.
Well the back is still playing up but touch wood....no not my head....whispering so my back doesn`t hear me...easing slightly.
I have wait for it.....CRAFTED...gulp, gasp and it felt really really good!!!!
I had quite a few swaps to catch up on and have managed to get them done which leaves me with only 1 commitment left to complete,hopefully finish it this week and in the post...phew i will be so relieved as i have felt really guilty ,but with the way my back can be everything had to come to a halt.
The first 2 pictures was a project for a swap over on Scrappers Delight
{a great place to visit and always lots going on if you fancy stopping by}
You had to make 12 tags all about you,loved putting this one together,made the 12 tags and a little wallet to pop them in.
I would like to enter this into Paper cutz challenge blog...theme..tags.
The pictures below where for a swap over on Crafts Beautiful,6x6 page swap and the theme was the year i was born.
I went for one event in 1969 landing on the moon..why?....cause i always wanted to be an astronaut,guess visiting blogland is the closest i am going to get,lol!!
As you can tell still mad as a hatter,lol.

Creative Inspirations Challenge 17....and a few challenges combined..

Over at Creative Inspirations this week the lovely Louise has set the challenge
a colour combo-
Lilac/Purple and grey and Louise also has a fantastic prize for the lucky winner so pop on over and check it out and look forward to stopping by and seeing all your creative projects.
I thought my crafting mojo had deserted me as i was sitting in my shed on Friday night hauling out papers,pulling my hair,embellishments, stamps,inks,paints scattered on every available surface when suddenly thank goodness i thought about the wee fairy folk..why i hear you ask...well the window of my shed looks on a part of my garden that has a log,moss,stone and toadstool and it was so pretty and i had taken a picture of it through the week on a rare dry spell of weather and bingo that was how the Fairy trunk came to be....
I promise no Fairy was harmed in the making of the trunk box,the wings of this little fairy was all i managed to capture when i clicked the camera, she was a tad camera shy and in rather a hurry to join in the festivities, please be reassured that after the camera flashed the door popped open and a rather pretty {if rather irate} fairy popped back out and sorted herself out.
The magical knocker that you must knock on the front of the box trunk 3 times.....
Fairy dust to sprinkle around the trunk and the magic key to hold.....

and the little summoning spell goes...
sprinkle a little fairy dust around the trunk
take the magic knocker
and knock three times
hold the key
and close your eyes
and say with all your heart
" I do believe in the Fairy Folk....."
why not try it and see for yourself what happens...just remember for it to work you must really really believe...Good luck!!!
The magical ingredients.....
1."Believe" it is sooo important for it all to work
2.Blank Box
3.Basic grey Wisteria papers
4.Basic Grey Wisteria Rub ons and Brads
5.Fairy dust in a glass bottle...collected from a magical ring of mushrooms as the dawn breaks right after a Fairy Gathering
6.Magical key..these are really hard to come by best to try a witchy shop.
7.Fairy knocker and Handle{magical hatpins touched by the Fairy Queen,well i am a tad mad and my maiden name is Queen,lol}}
8.Fairy wings well as i explained that was accidental,lol.

I recieved this fab award from Glitzzy, for those of you who don`t know she is my mum and simply the best mum ever always listens and a shoulder to lean on when i need it most.Mum is a crafting Queen and i always love to see what she has created her little fat pages are stunning and a must see.
I recieved these two fab awards from the lovely Lyn over on Syders Corner,she truly cracks me up when i stop by for a visit and her stunning projects are well worth a visit.Thanks zilloins Lyn for thinking of me.

1-I am truly mad....the secret is well and truly out,lol.
2-I abseiled down the House Of Frasers for charity and loved it!!!
3-I often say one thing but have a little face on the back of my head that wants to say something else...i am laughing out loud right now i can`t believe i am typing this, it may be imaginary but true!!!

5-The yellow van has just stopped outside to cart me away to the funny farm will pop back later to give them out..................

Shabby Monograms......

Over on the Bubbly Scrumptious challenge blog the monthly challenge is...Monograms..you can do any project at all and the DT projects are gorgeous and great for inspiration.
So i hauled out my faithful Daisy Ds paper,chipboard alphas,prima flowers,lace and some old buttons and came up with this "Shabby" Bunting and in the top picture is a peak at my crafty shed.
The inside of the shed is covered with papers,gluesticks,buttons,flowers and dibs of glue from the gluegun,lol and Alex is always saying shut the drawers but how can i see whats in them if they are closed,lol.
Also over on the ABC challenge blog the theme is buttons.
Paper Blooms challenge is Home Decor and the Shabby banner is for inside my shed.

My Weekend away......warts and all,lol.....

Okay you all know i turned the big 4o on Friday and Alex was whisking me away for the weekend,just the two of us ahhhh felt like we where going on honeymoon again,lol!!
Well Alex had booked us into a gorgeous hotel up by Loch Tay stunning scenery......but sadly things did not go quite to plan.....
We got away later than expected as family and friends popped by to wish me Happy Birthday{and rub it in about turning 40,lol}so it was late and dark when we arrived but the hotel looked lovely and there was a full moon reflecting of the water ahhhh bliss....but the room was nothing like the pictures we had seen oh my giddy aunt we where speechless when we saw it this couldn't be right..where was the beautiful room we saw in the pictures...the room was to be honest dreadful,peeling paint,cracks,musty oh my giddy aunt if you could have seen it,but exhausted we were and it was late so we decided we would make the best of it stay the night then find somewhere else in the morning...we had a bit of a giggle about it and tried to see the funny side of it but eewwww come 12.30am we had had enough!! Noise from the pub next door was dreadful,our room was next to the lift which did a lot of groaning and when the wildlife in the room started to appear well enough is enough so we complained at 12.30 and told them we would rather sleep in our car than stay in that room and we left at 12.45am what to do now......We where both so disappointed as you can imagine but fear not Alex had a "Plan"....
A trip to the complete opposite side of the country to a special place that takes your breath away with the most stunning scenery "Glen Dall"{sorry if i spelt it wrong} up by the Angus Glens we used to go hillwalking there before my back started to play up.
After a lot of driving we arrived just after 3am and we sat in the car and it was bliss as we waited alone except for the odd deer,rabbits and pheasants,lol, on the sun coming up, so yes maybe it was not quite how we envisioned our weekend away but i was still with Alex and enjoying some of the most stunning views so i guess you can say i will not forget my 40th in a hurry.

Creative Inspirations challenge15.....Tags....

Oooh it is my turn to pick the challenge this week over at Creative Inspirations and i chose "Tags"can be anything from a card,ATC,layout,altered art........you decide as long as somewhere on your project you have a tag,hope you will join in the fun and look forward to seeing your creative makes.
I made a Tag card for a friend using the beautiful cosmo cricket paper,stamp,stitching and a little twiggy heart to finish and below is the little jar and tag book keepsake for mums birthday...what is it?
The jar was an old jam jar which with the help of a little crate paper,lace,ribbon,hatpin,hearts and the important ingredient this week lots of little tags which i have popped a question on about things i would love to know about mums life.
The Little tag book is made out of two tags for the covers prettied up with the lovely crate paper and not forgetting hearts{you know me,lol}hatpins and stitching,pop some cut paper inside and it is all ready for mum to jot down her memories that are sparked from the individual tags so that mum ends up with a tag book choc full of memories to keep and hopefully to share.....

Yikesss my big 40th birthday is almost upon me...

First thank you everyone who has left such lovely comments and "Helloooo" to my new followers thank you so much and a warm welcome to my little piece of blogland.

Well today my friends is my last ever day to be in my thirties arghhhhhhh i can not believe that tomorrow i am going to be ....ooooooh sitting here with my face all scrunched up....."4o".....where did all that time go,i dont feel grown up enough to be in my forties ....ouch... that made me winch typing that, thought that i would be in twinset and tweed skirts,lol though i thought that when i was about ten years old when anyone over 20y seemed old,
when i hit twenty myself i thought 20 isn`t old it`s young,
when i hit my thirties i thought "och this isnt old"
and no doubt tomorrow "40" will seem like not so old and fifty younger still
and my fav jacket is my "denim one" and cant see that changing any time soon.
I am rambling sorry.....
As you know Alex bought me a shed for my...40th...and has turned it into my craft room woohoo and tomorrow Alex is taking me{no doggies or kiddies}away for the weekend the first time we have been away together on our own since the boys came along{Rory the oldest is 18} and i am sooo excited that i have butterflies in my tummy as i sit here typing,lol.
Hmmm maybe being 40{almost but not till tomorrow,lol} aint so bad after all.
We have had "major, major "problems and stress with the computer but have had it cleaned up and made ship shape so will be popping by for a visit to everyones blog on Monday.

Over at Creative Inspirations challenge 13 the challenge this week was set by Louise and the theme -make a creative project on the following.....

"Something old something new something borrowed,something blue"

does not have to be a wedding card .... something old...could be something you have had in your stash for a while,new.. can be new papers,new stamp etc,borrowed..can be a topper or embellishment from another card or like me a box i kept my brads in but you need to include something blue somewhere on your project.

This is my DT make -an altered box to hold wooden hearts,each heart has a letter with a tag representing-love,cherish,happiness,trust and joy with a little card to match.

Clean up!!!!

Hello and hope you are all having a good time and enjoying the lovely weather,popped on to share a few piccies of our beautiful niece Niamh..after a hectic feeding time some clean up was needed before we saw her mummy,no bath just a shower in our house so our sink came in real handy,lol...i can remember baths in sinks can you?

Wooden spoons make great toys and Niamh loved the noise she could make banging away on the sink!!!!

What can i say but we were exhausted!!!!!We sneaked upstairs,played with the cuddly toys and ended up snoozing away with golly inbetween us..........then Alex snuck up and took this picture and we where blissfully unaware as you can see.

Have printed of the second picture and framed it for Niamhs mum who has had a rough time off it lately and it made her day and i have it framed and on show at the .......kitchen sink windowsill!!!

Stars and stripes....Crafty creations challenge

Over on the Scrappers Delight forum i have joined in the fun with a card group and for our first swap the theme is" 4th July" decided to go down a traditional route ,although roughed up and shabby,lol.
Downloaded some free papers added a cocktail stick for a flag pole,wooden star altered with paper,stitching cause i luv the sewing machine and as my youngest Kane said"wheres the fireworks?"added some glitter to the stars and stripes for a wee bit off sparkle.
Over at Crafty Creations the theme this week is Stars and Stripes so going to enter it into the challenge.

Fathers day card....

Oooooh got a tiny bit of time to craft on Saturday night and made this card for my fantastic Dad!!
Using some of my fav manufacturers papers-cosmo cricket and Bazzil card stock,Pink paislee flower,thickers alphabet...hmmm think the D`s look slightly odd but then so am i so thats okaydokey,lol all from last months scrapagogo kit and velvet brad from my stash oops and the wonky tonky sewing machine off course.

Came on to post my take on the new challenge and wow what a lovely thing to come on to my neglected blog and find such lovely comments from you all,thankyou each and everyone of you they are soooo appreciated and i know i say it a lot at the moment but i am sorry i am not around as much and i am missing crafting and visiting all your lovely blogs and will try and get round for a visit at some point before the week is out.
Came in from work this morning to find that Rosie had been sick and now Storm is being sick too so between trying to put my post up and running around manically with a cloth wiping up after them and running out back hosing the sick away well jeez i am tired out already,lol!!!
Rosie has her next set of injections either tomorrow or Wednesday so if things havent settled down Alex will take them both to the vets for a check up as well......eeeekkkk my life has turned upside down,round and round.....thinking of the song and humming away..yep mad as ever!!!!
Well sadly i must go and get on before Rosie gets up into mischief and make sure Storm is okay.

DT Creative Inspirations Challenge 11....and Crafty creations challenge and caardvarks..

Challenge 11 has been set by Jude and the theme is anything but a card or ATC so let your imagination run wild and happy crafting!!!!

Prize for this challenge is 30 yep 30 12x12 papers so go get crafting and check it out over at the Creative inspirations challenge blog.

What with having a pup in the house and work i dont have much time at the moment for my blog or crafting but am managing {just,lol}to keep up with my commitment to the DT soooooo what was i going to make hmmm?

Welcome to...."Home to Roost" a birdbox that Alex has had a sitting about outside waiting to go up...so i snaffled it and with the help of some Basic grey papers and bits and bobs and Rosie getting in the way grabbing rolls of tape,ribbons and buttons and me chasing her i finally managed to alter it.

I like how it turned out but my pictures don`t do it justice as it was dull and raining at the time so will try and get round to taking more...if it ever stops raining that is,lol.

Creative Inspirations challenge 10.....

Hi this is my take for the DT over at Creative Inspirations challenge,challenge 10 is a colour combo-Blue and brown and the prize is to be part of the DT for 3 months so pop on over and join in the fun.
I only had 3 sheets of 12x12 papers that were blue and brown so after much head scratching and humming and awing decided to make a baby matchbook album,keepsake heart and little gift card...wheeew with Rosie the pup around it was no easy feat..she scrabbles around trying to eat and chew oh and not forgetting nip all my papers hmmmmm and at the mo she is on my lap and not a happy puppy cause she wants wants to be down and getting into mischief!!!!Anyway thanks for looking and sorry i dont have much time at the moment but hopefully things will settle down soon.

Fat page....Love,Romance and Hearts

Had to get up at 5am on Saturday morning to do this fat page before anyone or...dogs got up.... so i could craft,lol!!I am not kidding i can tell you for once the house was quiet and only the birds cheeping outside could be heard..ahhh bliss for the first time this week.I love Rosie the pup but boy is she a lot of work...puppy tornado.....lol.

I used papers from the scrapagogo kit and 3 wooden hearts in different sized,ribbon and the sewing machine,nowadays i seem to be using it for all my projects they never feel finished unless i have stitching on it.The theme was hearts,love and romance and the swap is held over a

crafts beautiful forum if you fancy joining in with any swaps.Well thats all for now and looking forward to having the time soon to pop round and visit you all.

Surprise....

Well everyone this is our surprise....a new addition to our family "Rosie" and she is 8weeks old and a border terrier.

Alex took me out a few weeks ago saying he had a surprise for me....hmmm i thought it must be a piece of driftwood for the garden,lol,boy oh boy after knowing each other for almost 23 years he had managed to leave me in shock and speechless which is no mean feet i can tell you.We always said no more pets as when you lose them it is hard!!!!Storm is now 11years and so canny and loving i never thought we would have any more he hadn`t even so much as hinted.

Taken a few weeks since then to get my head round having another pet but she is adoreable and Storm seems curious,she has been introduced to all the family and as you can see she is all tuckered out...either that or traumatised,hahahahaha.I didn`t tell mum or dad about Rosie and it was killing them wondering what the surprise was they even thought i was pregnant,lol.Everyone is really taken with her and the boys are really happy thankgoodness as they only found out when we brought her home today.

Have to admit to feeling pretty tuckered out myself but wanted to pop on and let you see what the surprise was,sorry not been visiting but hopefully through the week i will get a chance.

6X6 scrap pages.....

These are the 6x6 page swaps i made for the crafts beautiful forum and phew so glad i got them finished and will be in the post tomorrow.Was starting to think i would never manage to get round to getting them done!!!!

I used the Little shoebox papers and die cuts oh and the wonky tonky sewing machine,lol that actually behaved itself thank goodness.The little houses,trees and lamppost i cut out from the background paper,not usually into doing something so, well fiddly, but they where so cute.I included a wee drop pics of Edinburgh...love Edinburgh and the festival in the summer is a must see...street performers everywhere!!!!

If you visit Scotland then you have to go, you will not be disappointed even on a dreek grey rainy day,lol,if anything it looks even better from the old town{my fav} to the new town.

Although i got my pages completed i haven`t started my housework yet,yikes will post this then get on.The time seems to be flying by at such a speed,can you believe it is Thursday again already?

The new craft space outside is up now and woohooo can hardly wait to get all my crafty stash in,alex is painting it then insulating the inside wahhhhh like a young one waiting for Santa to come,lol!!

The garden is a bit of a bombsite at the mo but soon as i can will take some piccies....was lying down at the back window on Tuesday night when i came in from work dreaming ..........sad i know but soooo excited to at last have somewhere to go and craft in and not have to tidy it away all the time.

But for now housework is calling me{arghhh} so for now

Sneaky peek.....

A little sneaky peek at my card for the swap.. "Where In The World Are You" over on Scrappersdelight forum.
I came across My Little Shoebox Papers and fell in love,bright colours for me which i don`t use often but thoroughly enjoyed working with and have started to use them for another swap i am part of over on crafts beautiful 6x6 page swap title-Home.
When doing this swap my printer went wonky.....Alex tried to fix it but in the end opted to buy more ink and hey presto it works only for the..
...sewing machine to go all wonky,thought it was headed for the sewing machine cemetry i can tell you but after much tinkering,few choice words yeahhhh it worked.
Once Rebecca has recieved the card will post more piccies up and my page swaps once i have them finished

Forest craft man is out back banging away putting up my shed yeahhhhh music to my ears,so excited at getting a space all for "Me" to craft in.
Going to go for now and have a little peek...

Creative Inspirations challenge 9....

This weeks challenge over on Creative Inspirations is "Favourite stamped image" pop on over and check it out for a chance to win some prima flowers.
My ingredients...
Joanna Sheen stamp{one of the on the beach stamps}
Mixture of My Minds Eye papers
Brown ink pad to make the papers aged
Cosmic shimmer
Sewing machine
I dithered over this one as i don`t do a lot of stamping and panicking" eeek" what am i gonna do!!!
I don`t have a lot of stamps but splashed out a year or two ago and bought "on the beach set" and i do love them,i don`t colour them in as i like the natural look but i did use a little cosmic shimmer for the water.
I used the brown ink pad for the image and all around the papers to make them look older,i know its not everyones thing but i like the aged look,lol and wanted a soft effect on the papers.
Hauled out the sewing machine for some stitching and all done.
Note to self to do more stamping!!!!!
