One Word One Technique #18

Hi everyone,
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far whatever you are up to.
It`s time again for another One Word One Technique prompt over at Truly Madly Crafty.
This Months Technique is Fabric and the word prompt this week is Discover.

This month i  branched away from my journal and went all out with fabric that i have had sitting around waiting on the right project to come around.
I gathered together my supplies along with a versacraft ink pad and got stamping using a Tim Holtz stamp and then heat setting it in place with a dry iron . . .
Cut to size and then out with the sewing machine for some stitching and a little embellishment . . .
I did the same with the American Alphabet stamps for Discover . . .
Next i took a scrap of material and made my first ever fabric flower . . .It came together so easily  . . . all i did was take a length and twist it up tight, and then starting at the centre i rolled it around and round . . . voila one fabric flower which i fixed in place with the hot glue gun.
Taking more of the material i made a Tote bag, sewed on the patches, added a few buttons and the flower.
"But" then i had a problem . . . as i was attaching the strap to the tote the "Needle Broke" ARGHHH...
What was i going to do???
Well change my mind of course, lol, this has turned out so well and i looove the material that i am going shopping for some calico, needles and purple dye to make it into a Craft Apron.
All i will do is cut the front panel away, dye the calico . . . . and Watch this space!!!
What have i discovered?
Well  as the stamp says "Life is the Art of Drawing Without an Eraser" . . . so i say is "crafting"
I hope you like my project and that you come back to have a look at it once i have remade it into a Craft Apron.

Wishing you all a good week ahead.
till next time
